Subject: 3 weeks today - by: Big Sexy

Sill finding them. My season is actually 22 consecutive days long now. 22 days in a row where I found at least two (May 3rd) 2,514 is my current total after the 41 I found today. Saturday 5/18 was the first day I did not find any freshly popped morels but about 35% were still good. Today about 95% were freshly popped from this morning. Two of my spots finally produced for the first time this year, all in the Omaha area. This should be the last week......maybe.

Hello all,

A lot of users on here are quite knowledgeable about several different kinds of edible mushrooms, and I'm seeking help identifying something I found last year. I believe it could be chicken of the woods, but I was hoping I could get someone else's opinion as to what this is.

I've spotted a few tiny ones about 30 miles south of Kato, not worth picking and you almost need a glass to see them. If you are out looking, be very careful, you'll probably step on more than you'll see!
