Yes, I think it is just coming in good. I found 130 yesterday. Today I found a couple small guys that were a little dry, but the rest of them were very fresh. We need about an inch of rain and then some good sun. If that happened I'd probably need to pull my 16 foot trailer behind the pickup to carry them all to the house. Encountered the finest crop of mosquitos I've seen since Caribou hunting in the NWT though. MAN!! They were brutal!!

Those are real nice Bear, I went after work for a couple hours today only found a mesely 15. Hunting some new ground tomorrow a family friend has 50 acres in Desoto. They dont hunt it so we'll see what I find. You ever try a thermocell, you can get a little case that you can strap to your belt.

I mispelled it its thermacell and it is a portable mosquito repelant.google it I got one and it works great on the deck I have yet to test it in the woods but some of my huntin buddies swear buy them.

Were those found under maples? I only found 3 in the mississippi bottoms last thursday..maybe they came up since? My maple spots on the meramec didnt produce one..maybe they switched trees? I dunno.

yes you can eat them...cut them into small pieces and fry in butter
i think you can batter them as well. although not all will like the taste. but do make sure you positively identify it before you eat it.
