were you in the hills or bottoms?

In the bottoms running off the Miss. River near Peveley. Trying to add a picture. Will have it up as soon as I resize the thing. No huge ones, but nice sized.

i have found about 22 in festus but pretty dried out. did the flood get to them? i am wondering if morels will come up after a recent flood?

I honestly couldn't say. Maybe someone else on here might have that answer. The area I'm in didn't flood. There is still lots of loose leaves and decayed vegitation on the ground that isn't matted down like it had been flooded. The area I found them in is a good 15 feet above the river level and up a creek from the Miss.

MOFUNGI yes they do come up after a flood. Last year my "HONEY HOLE" got hit with almost 7 feet of water mid season which in turn killed the spot....but this year I went back and grwing right up through the river slit, sand, and debris were my lovely morels. Go Check all you can do is find some!!!
